Hey Nutrition Nerds!
No shame here in caring about your health and wellness and all that you’re putting into your body! I’m proud to be a nutrition nerd and people who shame you for it are secretly wishing they had, not only all of your nutrition knowledge, but also cared as much as you do about your diet. First of all, my credentials for offering nutrition advice comes from my degree as a nutrition minor, and also my own personal experiences with following a healthy diet.
I have found through conversations with many of my fitness clients at my studio, and in general, that the hardest part they struggle with is nutrition! With that said, I hope this part of the website offers you a basic understanding of what your body needs from foods and how you can achieve these intakes through a healthy diet. I also wish to share with you MY favorite foods and recipes that I hope you try and enjoy as well! Another important element that I want you to understand is that I am by no means telling you how to eat and what you should eat–Rather, I am simply sharing with you what works for ME and leaving the choice up to YOU to incorporate whatever information you choose into your own diet. Because everyone is different, and you might not even like some of the foods/meals that I eat and the way that I stay nourished and healthy may not even work for you. I hope it does, but let’s be honest, we all have our own preferences when it comes to food, and you simply need to focus on what makes your body feel healthy and energized.
With that said, I hope you enjoy this information and it serves as a starting point for you to create a diet that works best for fueling YOU! One last thing to be clear on, diet simply means ‘what you eat’. So when I refer to diet, I am not talking about some crazy one week cleanse in which you starve yourself and have to eat disgustingly tasting food! No, diet is just how I refer to the foods we eat on a regular basis.
Alright, now time to get down to the nitty gritty and focus on food!
